Notice of charity product sales to Ukraine

Our thoughts

Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which began on 24 February 2022, has cost many Ukrainian lives and destroyed a great deal of property. Many people are still suffering.
At the same time, as the war drags on, people speak of donor fatigue and of attention falling away.

We have long wanted to help the people of Ukraine in whatever way we can, and with the cooperation of Umegae Shuzo Co., Ltd., a long-established sake brewery in Nagasaki Prefecture, we have put together this charity product.

The figure was drawn by Non, who also did the character designs for Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions and Adachi and Shimamura: a Ukrainian girl in traditional dress, praying. The background, by Jyu, sets a sunflower field against a blue sky, the colours of the Ukrainian flag. Both were drawn as a prayer that the invasion ends and peace returns.

Part of the proceeds from each bottle sold will be donated to the account of the Embassy of Ukraine.

We hope this donation is of some use to the people of Ukraine, and that everyday life there returns to peace as soon as possible.
