 It's here, it's here!! It's finally here! Yukiyazuki Daiginjo is a sake developed by Yukihana Lamy and Meiri Shurui. It returns with a new look for the first time since 2022, two years on! Balancing the fruity daiginjo aroma with sweetness and a dry finish took many rounds of trial and error.

VTuber Yukihana Lamy, in 2020, set up Lamy's Sake Brewing Project with full support from Meiri Shurui, and made her dream of brewing sake from scratch with her own hands come true. The project released its first sake, Yukiyazuki Daiginjo, in 2021. For the third season, the team went after the dry style Lamy likes and developed Yukiyazuki Junmai Daiginjo Favorite Model. Yukiyazuki went on to win awards at IWC2022 and IWC2023 in a row, and is now recognised outside Japan as well.

 

 

 

What makes Yukiyazuki Daiginjo different

 

Yukiyazuki Daiginjo is where the Yukiyazuki series began. Yukihana Lamy and Meiri Shurui worked through every element, from the rice and polishing ratio to the yeast and alcohol content. It uses two fine sake rices, Yamada Nishiki and Miyama Nishiki, polished to 48%, with M-310 yeast, at 17% alcohol. Yukihana Lamy put real passion into balancing the quality of the sake with how it drinks,

and says the idea behind Yukiyazuki is simple: "I want to give people a reason to try sake."

Also, the label has been newly drawn by the well-known illustrator Abara Heiki.

 

Aroma and taste

Yukiyazuki Daiginjo has a rich fruity aroma, a light sweetness and a clean finish. The depth of Yamada Nishiki and the crisp character of Miyama Nishiki make it easy to enjoy for everyone from beginners to experienced sake drinkers. Compared with Yukiyazuki Junmai Daiginjo Favorite Model, this release lets you taste more of the depth of sake.
