"You are already dead" — Kenshiro's imo shochu

Kenshiro's bottle in the Fist of the North Star imo shochu series. A clear sweet-potato aroma and plenty of body. On the rocks or with water. If you're collecting the series, start here.

How to enjoy it

  • With hot water: pour the hot water first, then the shochu, 5:5. Mitsutake recommends water at about 70°C
  • On the rocks: pour over ice and add a splash of room-temperature water to bring out the sweet-potato aroma
  • With water: shochu first, then water, 5:5 — it mixes more evenly
  • Tasting flight: line up two or three from the series and compare each character's aroma. The empty bottles look great on a shelf afterwards
