Well-known Taiwanese piano YouTuber Pan Piano and Japanese drinks brand distributor WAIN99 are releasing a new collaboration gin, "Aka Torii Chocolate Gin Pan Piano edition". It is made for us by Mitsutake Shuzojo, a brewery founded in 1688 in Kashima, Saga Prefecture, whose more than 300 years of experience stand behind the collaboration.

The gin is based on the Aka Torii craft gin, with chocolate as its signature flavour. It brings together Pan Piano's music, ACG culture and Japanese craft brewing in an "art bottle" meant to be experienced, and will be sold mainly in Japan and Taiwan.

Pan Piano is a YouTuber known for her own style of combining piano performance with cosplay. She plays anime and game music with real technical skill, and has a large following in Asia, Europe and North America.

WAIN99 is a drinks brand distributor focused on Japanese alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It plans and develops collaboration products with anime, game and VTuber IPs, and exports them from Japan to Taiwan and the rest of Asia.

Mitsutake Shuzojo has been brewing in Kashima, Saga Prefecture, for more than 300 years, and in recent years has been developing a wider range of products, including craft gin and liqueurs. Commissioned by WAIN99, it is producing this collaboration gin as part of the Aka Torii brand.

The project brings together three strengths:

• Pan Piano's worldwide ACG fanbase

• WAIN99's experience in planning and exporting IP collaboration drinks

• Mitsutake Shuzojo's tradition and brewing skill

Together, they made this collaboration possible.

The official name of this collaboration product is

"Aka Torii Chocolate Gin Pan Piano edition"

Aka Torii is a Japanese craft spirits brand made by Mitsutake Shuzojo. For this release the flavour is built around chocolate. Chocolate notes are layered over the aroma of the botanicals, for a gin that suits dessert or a slow evening drink.

The bottle label and premium gift box feature a new illustration by Sakura Hiyori. Soft colours and a delicate touch capture Pan Piano's world and the mood of Aka Torii gin. It looks good on a shelf or on a desk: a bottle you will want to show off.

The new artwork of Pan Piano uses soft light and colour to show the calm of the piano and the sweetness of the chocolate gin. It works both as a clear, readable label and as a finished illustration in its own right.

The chibi characters on the ema straps and coasters are newly drawn by Taiwan-based illustrator FuwaFuwa. Each small design packs in Pan Piano's charm and a playful ACG touch, giving this Japan–Taiwan collaboration its bright, pop look.

The label, box, ema and coasters each have their own style. WAIN99 worked through the details with both illustrators so that they still feel like one series.
