Legend of Mortal × WAIN99: pre-orders for Yu Xiaomei's umeshu and Xiaozhu's cola syrup

Legend of Mortal: Qingmei Zhuma — Obb Studio × WAIN99

We're taking pre-orders for two collaboration items from WAIN99 and Obb Studio, the Taiwanese studio behind the wuxia RPG Legend of Mortal (活俠傳). The "青梅竹馬" series (Qingmei Zhuma, a Chinese idiom for childhood friends) brings you a cloudy umeshu featuring Yu Xiaomei (虞小梅) and a bamboo-charcoal craft cola syrup featuring Xiaozhu (郁竹, Yu Zhu). Both labels carry brand-new illustrations by Wa Yikou (挖一口).

Timed to the October 15 update

Obb Studio has announced on Steam that its major update "Kongtong Shenwei" (崆峒神威) arrives on October 15. It adds new branches to the main story, including a relationship route for each of Yu Xiaomei and Yu Zhu (Xiaozhu). The plum route and the bamboo route open on the same day, so we made these two items to go with them.

The base is "Makai e no Izanai" ("Invitation to the Demon Realm"), a sweet potato shochu from Mitsutake Shuzojo in Saga. It is blended with umeshu made from Kishu Nanko-ume plums, then finished with Japanese plum pulp and honey. Thick and smooth, with tart plum and gentle honey sweetness, and a toasty black-koji shochu note on the finish. 14% ABV. The label and gift box show Xiaomei in a maid outfit, with plum petals floating on the water at Xiaomei's feet.

小竹的可樂（手工） (Xiaozhu's Cola): craft cola syrup, 200 ml

A cola syrup made with bamboo charcoal, as dark as night. The bamboo is why we paired it with Xiaozhu, whose name means "little bamboo". Yuzu on the nose, with cinnamon, clove and other spices. Mix about 1 part syrup to 4 parts sparkling water. On the label, Xiaozhu is just waking up, stretching through a huge yawn. It contains no alcohol.

How to pre-order

Both items are available by pre-order only, for a limited time, and are made to order. We produce the quantity ordered during the pre-order period.

Sales are limited to Japan and Taiwan. Sales in Japan will be online only. Orders are not open yet. In Taiwan, the cola is planned for online sale; alcohol inquiries are for information only, with no online ordering, payment or stock reservation. An inquiry does not constitute an order. Sales and shipping outside Japan and Taiwan, including through cross-border purchasing services, are excluded. All prices are provisional.

  • Xiaomei Umeshu contains alcohol. Drinking under 20 is prohibited by law in Japan, and we do not sell it to anyone under 20.
  • Never drink and drive.
  • Drinking while pregnant or breastfeeding can harm your baby's development.
  • Both items are made to order. Cancellations after ordering: 【要確認：キャンセル・返品の扱い】.
  • Photos show prototypes. The final product may differ.
