NUMBER EIGHT GIN

Gin made inside a harbourside restaurant.

Yokohama Hammerhead stands on Shinko Pier in the Port of Yokohama. Inside, the restaurant QUAYS pacific grill houses a glass-walled gin distillery and brewery side by side, so guests can watch the stills at work while they eat.

NUMBER EIGHT DISTILLERY opened in October 2019. Its name comes from Berth No. 8, where Hammerhead stands.

NUMBER EIGHT GIN uses a shochu base made from ginjo sake lees and is flavoured with eight botanicals: juniper berries, Cuban mint, lemon verbena, Kanagawa mikan, lemons grown without pesticides, fresh hops, coffee beans and avocado seeds. It won silver at the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition two years in a row.
