"I have no regrets in my life" — Raoh's imo shochu

Raoh's bottle in the Fist of the North Star series. Deep sweet-potato aroma and a powerful taste — one of the heavier styles in the range. Best on the rocks, taken slowly.

How to enjoy it

  • With hot water: pour the hot water first, then the shochu, 5:5. Mitsutake recommends water at about 70°C
  • On the rocks: pour over ice and add a splash of room-temperature water to bring out the sweet-potato aroma
  • With water: shochu first, then water, 5:5 — it mixes more evenly
  • Tasting flight: line up two or three from the series and compare each character's aroma. The empty bottles look great on a shelf afterwards
